About Me
Hi! I’m Gary Stidham. My passion is helping the church reach the next generation for Christ. My wife, Teresa, and I have served in ministry to college students for over 25 years. We have two college-aged sons, Josh and Ben, who are involved in campus ministries at their universities.
My Ministry
My family moved to Dallas-Fort Worth in 2003 where I served as Director of the Baptist Student Ministry at The University of Texas at Arlington for over twenty years.
At UTA BSM, God allowed our team to develop an effective disciple-making movement seeing hundreds of young adults come to Christ in a challenging, diverse metro context with graduates leading ministries and starting churches across Dallas-Fort Worth and around the world.
Currently, I serve as Director of Training for Texas BSM, teach collegiate ministry courses at Southwestern Seminary. host a podcast with my friend Paul at Campus Multiplication Network, and lead a small non-profit ministry called Next Generation Outreach.
Personal
Distance running helps me stay healthy, disciplined, and sane. I’ve completed fourteen full marathons including two 50k ultramarathons. I am currently on a 5+ year daily running streak 😲
I have a B.S. in Mathematics, an M-Div from Southwestern Seminary, and a Th-M and D-Min from Midwestern Seminary in cultural apologetics.
My doctoral dissertation explored equipping college students to have a Biblical view of marriage, sexuality, and gender.
