COLLEGIATE MINISTRY COURSES AT SWBTS

Take collegiate ministry courses with me at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary! Are you a campus-based or church-based college minister? Or do you simply want to impact the next generation for Christ?

 

These three-hour masters-level courses offer a deep dive into the best practices for engaging, establishing, equipping, and exporting students as life-long disciple-makers.

Classes are highly practical and interactive. You’ll leave with tools and strategies you can immediately apply to your ministry.

 

In addition to myself, you’ll hear from top collegiate ministry practitioners working in diverse contexts. All classes are offered in a one-week intensive format, both in-person and on Zoom.

What are the degree options for me? 

  • ​Earn an MACE or M-Div in Collegiate Ministry.
     

  • Earn a Graduate Certificate in Collegiate Ministry by completing all four courses.
     

  • Simply take one or more courses as electives.
     

  • Not seeking a degree? Choose the low-cost audit option.

STEPS TO ENROLL

  1. Apply for admission.
    Use the discount code COLLEGIATE at the beginning to waive the $40 fee. If you’re auditing, choose “Non-Degree Seeking” for simplified application requirements.

     

  2. Register for a class online at swbts.edu/course-list. You can attend in person in Fort Worth or online on Zoom.
     

  3. Explore financial aid options.
    There are guaranteed scholarships for NAMB-endorsed missionaries and applicants for IMB Journeyman, plus first-come, first-serve scholarships for those attending intensive courses in person.

    Check with your local church or convention to inquire about their scholarship opportunities. Are you a support-raising missionary? Invite your support team to make one-time gifts (non-tax deductible) to offset your educational costs.

FAQS

HOW MUCH IS TUITION?

Total cost per three-hour course (including tuition and fees) is approximately $1220 for in-person students and $1330 for online/FLEX students for SBC church members. (Or $2200 for non-SBC students.) The low-cost audit option is $225 per course. All courses earn three hours of graduate credit. Make sure you explore all financial aid options, including through your church, convention, or employer.

WHAT IF I’M A STUDENT AT ANOTHER SEMINARY?

Course credit should transfer to SBC seminaries and others as an elective credit. Download the course syllabus using the link above, and you can ask your school’s advisor or registrar if a course substitution is possible.
