This winter, I'll begin serving as Adjunct Professor of Collegiate Ministry at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, my alma-mater. DON'T WORRY, I'M NOT LEAVING BSM 😊 But I'll help Southwestern resurrect this important concentration. We'll offer three one-week intensive courses per year - beginning with Collegiate Evangelism in January 2024. This is the program formerly led by Dr. Phil Briggs then Dr. Max Barnett - two of my ministry mentors & heroes. I'm humbled by the opportunity and genuinely hope to help mobilize, inspire & equip young ministers to make disciples among the next generation. Huge thanks to Dean Chris Shirley & Provost Matt Queen for the opportunity. This summer, I'll spend time preparing & learning from the best collegiate movement leaders in the country 🎉 FYI - The four courses will be (1) Collegiate Evangelism, (2) Collegiate Disciple-Making, (3) Collegiate Ministry Leadership, and (4) a "special topics" course at Collegiate Week in Oklahoma each August. Southwestern will offer an M-Div, MA, (hopefully eventually an MTS), and a Certificate in Collegiate Ministry. Know anybody that would benefit? Spread the word!
